Audrey Reid Williams [break] PERSONALITY [break] clever | risk-taking | dishonest | restless [break][break] Reid is a disorganized collection of goals and ideas. She lives under a constant, overwhelming feeling that she's doing something important; at the same time, she has no clue what counts as "important" to her. She tends to be at ease in almost all situations, under the impression that she's in control. Reid sees herself as a game-changer, a catalyst. It isn't clear to her whether she takes joy in changing other people's lives because she wants to do good, or because it proves she can do anything at all.[break][break] That said, her budding god complex hides a vastly insecure and uncertain truth. She clings to adventure and oddity in hopes that it will rescue her from the reality of life, and her grip on both is beginning to slip. She's anything but a constant, both in her behaviour toward others and her overall attitude. Eventually, her determination to become part of everything is going to snap back on her. [break][break] APPEARANCE [break] Reid has a very graceful way of holding herself -- easy enough that it is either carefully practiced or entirely organic, with no clear distinction as to which. She wears more scarves than she has the right to own, and her nails are always painted. If you watch her in public, it's noticeable that she doesn't tend to walk long distances without resting; if she has to, she tends to take the first opportunity to stop. Though she wears makeup on a regular basis, she often appears somewhat pale and tired. [break][break] HISTORY [break] Audrey Reid grew up in Oregon with her maternal grandparents and single mother. From a young age, she showed a notable interest in dance. Although her mother didn't think the hobby was worthwhile, Reid's grandmother supported her and took it upon herself to get the child into classes. For the next fourteen years of Reid's young life, she held tightly to dance. Her interest in it was an anchor that kept her from getting swept up in what was often a chaotic school and home life. At age fifteen, however, Reid suffered an unexpected heart attack during a rehearsal.[break][break] One surgery and two months in the hospital later, she was allowed to go home. Reid's heart attack was caused by chronic arrhythmia, which had combined with her anemia in the least fortunate of ways. With new medications and orders not to strain her heart, she lost her ability to keep up with dance and spent the rest of the school year at home as she recovered. During that time and the summer which followed, Reid's usually light and optimistic attitude took a dive. Though she never returned to dance, she took up writing. She spent most of her time away from school at home, but attended a weekly creative writing group that she rarely spoke about. [break][break] Reid's mother died after her senior year of high school. The grief was enough to drive her away from home, with her grandparents' blessing. [break][break] REASON FOR BEING AT DALTON COVE [break] Reid moved to the Seaside Apartments at Dalton Cove half a year after leaving home. She intended to get away from her doting roommate, and to find a new start; at Dalton, no one knows her. And that's the way she wants it. [break][break] INTERESTING FACTS [break] Reid's quite superstitious, has a penchant for spoken word poetry, and can't seem to listen to music without wanting to choreograph something to it.
